Sounds very reasonable. I tried a similar approach by stacking several Ehlers’ Roofing Filters, each one responsible for only one octave in bandwidth, instead of more than 2 octaves which was Ehlers’ default suggestion. I found some coinciding events, but also false signals.

The only reason to regularly choose close price as the basis of most indicators is to get the most recent indicator readings on bar zero. For every other purpose it’s meaningless.

Today I was experimenting with some RSI normalization as an alternative to daily resets. See pic: AUDNZD M5 at Nov 3rd, 2015. After a sharp move, the exchange rate is flat for a certain while, between those blue dashed lines.

If you like to make your idea attractive for coders a little more detail about the strategy would be nice, and the indicator should be in mq4 source format. It’s not really easy to integrate an ex4 that lacks any documentation, and doesn’t really make sense to me.

I fully agree with Bartleby: commercial content should be clearly denoted as commercial.
