I put this together quickly to download the entire candle history from Oanda through their API. The data seems to be very good but there are small gaps. You can also modify this script to update the database continuously using setTimeout() so that it would get the completed bar for each period.

Good question.. that’s many years of struggle and hard work that went into making it and I’m still working on it. I have thought about it. It will take me some time to make a decision. I’m assuming that you understand about the role of K. I haven’t written about it yet, I plan to in a day or two.
There is no correct answer I can give you since I don’t have statistics for this setup. I don’t like to make any assumptions. TZs should be traded based on hard facts. For example, do you know the answer to these question?

Have you looked into creating a single indicator with both bulls and bears? Subtract bears from the bulls? Might produce something interesting.

Fractal Arrow Prediction 11 years, 5 months agoI don’t think we should use ATR to split the candles because the ATR I think will cause mismatches with the history. The candles should be I think be split based on the average bar size of the entire dataset instead. But we can try each one. It shouldn’t be too difficult to test each case

You can use the lines to trade towards them as price usually returns to their level. The comments on the top left corner show statistics for the percentage of lines where price did not return and how far away price traveled before returning.
