i remember running across a few seemingly interesting indy’s in my statistical arbitrage phases.

I had to read that twice but ahh yes I see what you mean, interesting, I need to look into that on a chart to get my head around it

The idea is that there’s a correlation between pair A at time t and pair B at time t + x. That means if we have such a (high) relation, we know where B will go within x time unites by observing A.

Have you also surveyed time-shifted correlations (cross correlations)? I think that could be a very interesting topic.

Next video we will look at a site called netdania.com and use their chartstation to plot 2 items on the chart for comparison, it also allows you to plot many items on one chart as “relative to”.

We shall also look at the relationship of the dollar index, crude oil and usd/cad, an obvious one but to anyone just starting out this will help.
