You have to add in the Moving Average period 1. Also set show diff to True on Saver0’s bull bear indi…
How are the trades working out @DollarGeneral? Try to have a SL in there.. I know its difficult but there are times where this indicator can be wrong

February 3, 2015 at 11:53 pm #4604@DG, could you please explain the EURUSD H1 chart in more detail?
What are your settings? Thank you in advance.

February 5, 2015 at 1:23 pm #4629Very interesting my friends. I think we can do something with it. :) And wait for the zigzag thing. That will be super awesome. :) For now, i think we can filter the signals!

AnonymousHow are you guys able to use the moving average and the bull-bear-diff line? They shift when I scroll through the chart. This isn’t good obviously. Sometimes they shift so much that the moving average and the diff line switch their position.

The way I use it is to spot divergences where price is moving up and the value is moving down, etc.

February 7, 2015 at 11:43 pm #4695I’m attempting to replicate DG’s example (thank you for sharing it), but my results differ.
Loading an H1 chart with indi set to M30, I see a reversal spike in December, but don’t see a reversal spike in January. Because I test things on an MB Trading demo account, perhaps its volume information is different.
Also, Saver0, I have a question: I have noticed that Kiads prefers to host his images off-site in order to conserve your bandwidth. Should I do that as well? I’ll do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

AnonymousSet last bars to 6
February 8, 2015 at 7:05 am #4702Bang. There we go. Thanks much.
Now that I can experiment correctly, I see that USDJPY recognizes peaks as something akin to a pivot point, yet does not predict which direction it will go. This seems to apply to other currency pairs as well. Might it have been a happy accident that EURUSD showed bear peak for bear trend and vice versa? It would be worth looking back further in history.
Which leads me to my next problem: Is anyone else having trouble getting it to draw dates earlier than November? When I set maxBars higher, it does not seem to go any further. I can take screenshots if that would help, but I don’t see how it would.

You need to make sure that you have enough bars for that timeFrame in the chart. For example, if you have TimeFrame set to M1 and looking at it from M15, then you will need 15 times more bars in M1. Hope that makes sense

February 9, 2015 at 12:33 am #4720Ah, it pulls from the M1. Of course; I’m still getting used to how 604 lets us do that now.
Thanks for your help, and also for this indicator. Just one of many interesting indicators around here… Your forum has become home to some really clever and friendly coders!
Edit: Oh, how cute. MB Trading doesn’t let you pull data further back than a few months. No wonder it was stopping in November. Good ol’ American brokers.

AnonymousI don’t post very much, but
I have been demoing this indicator with candlestick analysis for a month.
Result is not too bad. I will keep demoing while studying TZ/RZ.

This is a really good result brother. Is it the manual trading result, or using EA ? Are you try to use divergence on demoing ? I just think that this can be used as entry point , may be ….

AnonymousHi smallcat,
currency pair: EURUSD only
time frame: 1-min, 15-min, 1-hour, 4-hour
strategy: manual trading. Almost same as saver0 explained in post #4498. I use many limit orders and take profit since I cannot watch market very long.
I have noticed that the indicator gives significantly different values across different brokers.
don’t know how to deal with it but I use two brokers in expectation of avoiding false signals.
Thank you,

Excellent results my friend!!
I’m very happy to see that you have put it to good use. Please keep making updates whenever you get a chance. I’m sure we all would love to see how you use it.I’m making another value/strength based indicator as I’m writing this. I will make a separate thread for it. I think the theory makes very good sense and the indicator is looking really good as well
