Interestingly there is some speculation over whether the aussie employment figures that came out have been “fiddled” with, still does not change the 60% move though

I am still reading all posts just been wrapped up in work and and repairing a Windows 10 install after a blown power supply.
As you can see from the attached, even a relatively small NEWS movement (USD @15:30, few minutes ago) retrace to the 60% “LAW”…
It’s on EURUSD + EURJPY (correlated) and the USDJPY (opposite).

JH yes we get power surges here (and lack of power) and the surges can have huge voltages, I have a surge protector protecting my computer (past experiance)
G interesting to see that on an M1 chart (including correlated pairs), I brought it up on my chart with OBV, CS and TVI to see how it can be traded and it looks as though with a short time frame as M1 those three indicators give the right info though will “replay” it with an EA to see how it looked in “real” time, I checked to seee what the news was it was high impact.

Yeah my power supply went up in a puff of smoke and I think surged that HDD. New PS installed but no OS yet on that computer.

Regarding the two videos above both named 43 (duh !!) if you have a look at the same period but AUDJPY instead of AUDUSD it shows a slightly cleaner entry.

Hi G, like the turkey joke (US), re the the 60%, my chart was the AUDJPY, it seemed the only one out of the pack that did not do the 60% retracement (though it almost got there), also interesting as on the spagetti chart it looked like a good candidate, well done on your trade though

The dax is fast compared to say the ftse 100 with it’s greater number of constituants
It is great to day trade on such a small time frame (only during market hours) – great fun !!
I will have to do a video at some point and share it with you all though like anything you need to play with it some time to get a “feel” for it.

Regarding 60% retracements on sudden moves such as news, what is the logic behind such retracements bearing in mind that we are small fish playing with the forex market.
Are the retracments due to (assuming short) sellers taking profit and/or normality returning ???
