If you want to tackle s/r (horizontal) lines, here s an idea for you. As we know the big players move the price against the held profit.
Easiest to identify held profit is to search for BO lines from which there was enough momentum. Momentum is identified with big candles (0-50% zone) or series of successive bull/bear candles.

@simplex: My statements/thoughts are general observations, not only based on your CIX. Well, the delay is imho not only due to the calculation of slope. Yes, there are several ways to do this, but can not say I really like either of them:
– keeping track of partially closed orders in some kind of list as you suggested. Here I would suggest using out-of-ea storage place so the ea can continue to work even after ea/mt4/windows restart.

ClearMethodSignals_01 indicator (post #10824) does exactly that.
“x” denotes swing point (repaints while bar active, static after bar close).
Arrow denotes area breakout, same behaviour (repaints while bar active, static after bar close).

The above is the main reason why I want to use iCustom with visual indicator instead of MQH lib.
The MQH can come later, when everything is stable.
