I think we have to re consider our set 1, 2 and 3. When i read the last remarks here and also in stevehopwood thread I come to the conclusion our set 1, 2 and 3 must be different build. We have weekend fractals, which we must skip and also we have to take care of fractals, which if we would base them on closed bar values would not be fractals. How all not yet that clear to me. What i did to see what the influence of closed values can be i adapted the zigzag indi and changed the high/low indo closed values. When you put this adapted indi in a chart you see some differences, which refer to my opinion to remarks in the old thread. First the swing points are better swing points, closed value of swingpoint bars are lower then the closed values of swing points in the standard indi for a down swing and for the up swing of course the opposite. Secondly the swing bars of the down swing are much more often a down bar and the next bar is nearly allways an up bar (the opposite bar we are looking for in step 3 of the algo). The opposite is true for up swings.
