Hi, I have been reading all I can about TZ and RZ and basically all the EURUSDD and FX Jay ramblings. It took me 2 – 3 days but I believe I am caught up. Now I was studying some of the methods , back testing and the like, and I stumbled upon something, that I believe (if I am not seeing things or haven’t made a mistake) , that allows me to predict the price of certain currency pairs. Is this what FX-Jay discovered, but will not tell? Is it something new? Am I seeing things? Has anyone else noticed this and is keeping it secret, I am scared to post it here. I am not the type of person to make up bullshit, I genuinely believe I have found something remarkable, but of course it would be nice to have more eyes look over it to make sure. I do not know who I could trust with such a thing. Yes it involves some of the concepts that EURUSDD revealed. Anyway, don’t hate me for not telling you, if it is true I will release it to the public in time.
Hi Brother, If you want to discuss about your finding but worry to discuss that in public, then I could recommend you to discuss with Saver0 in private, As our Admin and owner of this Penguin Traders Site, He also previously speak/discuss personally with EURUSDD and FX Jay. So, maybe He could give you objective suggestions about your finding.. Best Regards MTH
Thanks, I will try to make some kind of presentation, to best describe the method, as although it is very simple once you know it, discovering it or being able to see it is another thing all together.

Research of Statistical Recurrences of Candle Directions
A slightly different approach (published in 2010) to statistical recurrence. Didn’t read the article thoroughly yet, just posting the link in case somebody is interested:

Very interesting. I too have been looking into to frequency distribution to find places that will consistently provide us with an environment to make pips. None of the stats gained from any statistical research like this can guarantee profits. What they can guarantee is that there are opportunists where profits can be made consistently.

Hi Saver0. What do you mean with failed TZ?
I’m not sure.. I think its CSendo that used the term, failed TZs,
Are there any failed TZs on this chart?
I assume he meant a failed Zone, in other words a TZ.
Sorry for the late reply by the way. Was busy the last few days.

Woops. That is correct, I meant TZs. The correct question should be, “Are there any failed PTZ trades here or are they all winners?”

They were all winners on that screenshot. There were certain settings with less than 20 losers in the past 5yrs for example! But with SL, they wouldn’t make any profit.

How long was the longest drawdown?
January 29, 2015 at 12:22 am #4497This reply has been reported for inappropriate content.
I didn’t find the longest draw down in pips but it was pretty significant to the point where it wouldn’t produce any profits with a SL.

Saver0 I guess you tried different H and K values until you found the 97 percent of recurrent zones?

I’ve noticed a certain scenarios as well (might not be the same of what is mentioned above) but it can be applied only during range market where you can count and pinpoint the reversing 1 or 2 bars, then i dropped it as its useless in trending market, specialy that i don’t see any development discussion anywhere so i lost interest in the whole method and back to PA trading.
I found a couple of closed groups here and requested to join hoping that I’ll find the discussion is still active in there.
Thanks all and wish you many pips.

IMO, the whole forum has become really quiet for a week or two now – open threads and private groups as well.
Did the SNB scare everybody to death?

-Perhaps- we’re all trying trying and failing our own holy grails

Nothing has ever motivated me more than this...
January 31, 2015 at 2:02 am #4517Most of the discussion are at TZ & SS group. But even there is also abit quiet. Seems like most want to keep to themselves, not much progress or discussion is made also. I hope more will participate in open discussion over the group to develop the idea further. Hopefully it improve as time goes by, not too long though haha

If FX-Jay is reading this or maybe one of the members at FF can ask him (I cannot since my account at FF is terminated). Please ask him how he decide on the direction when there are many TZs/RZs to the top and bottom. At a given time there are TZs/RZs of various H length. So how would one pick one level vs the other?

{quote} Hi bro long time no see. we have moved here penguintraders dot com We have resumed the idea,I wonder if you would like to join us. thx a lot.Hey mate,
I’d rather stay on FF. I see the majority of the concept’s initiators still here, so no point of moving elsewhere.
As for the naggers that will constantly try to disrupt the useful conversations, I’ll make sure to take care of them.
I’m not very familiar with the FF rules/policies of threads, but I’m sure there will be a way to block users or at least comments that don’t have the minimum level of intelligence and/or respect.I’ll check that before starting a new thread
thx.March 2, 2015 at 2:33 am #5212This reply has been reported for inappropriate content.

Hi All,
Pls see attached pic on FX-Jay replies on TZ, pardon me for late submission as I’m very busy with some of my personal commitments. And I’m not sure whether he would like this to be out in the open, I believe he doesn’t really want ppl to be spoonfeed, nevertheless hopefully by posting it will more or less benefit someone. Caring is Sharing, cheers.
Best Regards,
LearnAlways

Skype: learnalways@outlook.comMarch 2, 2015 at 10:01 pm #5262Hi guys, first post here, participated a bit the various FF threads regarding TZ’s. Wondering has anyone published a TZ indicator that has push alerts, I’ve looked and have come up empty.
LearnAlways, thanks for the FX-Jay info, trading from one overlapping TZ/PTZ back towards another PTZ is a strategy in the works. Have you guys kicked around using some other OB/OS indicators once a PTZ becomes eligible or forms to trade back towards the overlapping PTZ.

Thank you so much for relaying those answers LearnAlways!
From this response, I can say what FX-Jay is doing makes perfect sense. To restate what you stated, he is trading:
1) Towards the trend.
2) Towards a PTZ once a TZ is formed. Now ask yourself why would this very simple method work? We know that a TZ gets formed when a certain time interval (H) has expired. This means the “retracement” is complete. Now we trade towards the PTZ, the level that is in the direction of the trend.
If anybody got the time, please test this out. You can play with the TZ indicator I made or another that shows historical RZs as well and see if such a simple strategy would work. I honestly think it should.

Does it mean that not all overlapped TZ are tradeable, but the one towards the main trend is a good trade? Thanks

Yes, and to clarify, FX-Jay is not trading towards the TZ! The trade is taken to the opposite direction of the TZ towards the pending RZ. We are betting on a pending zone becoming recurrent
