September 28, 2015 at 7:33 pm #8077In regards to the spaghetti, when a pair starts converging but than quickly turns to run in the same direction is there any clues that would have told you that the convergence was going to quickly fail? The shot posted is at the NY Forex open prior to Jeff’s entry on the EU. I’ve drawn a vertical line highlight the convergence of the USD, with EUR and Yen. You can see the USD was very indecisive, with swings up and down.

September 29, 2015 at 2:58 pm #8101Guys, an idea that I’m exploring is applying Newton’s 3rd law to the Gadi Currencies Dif indicator via pitchforks. Early days but the idea is to plot the pitchfork with a known A & B point and you can estimate the C point for the next turn.
Let’s see how the 3rd chart works out for the next turn.

Already done with the Spaghetti Diff Divergence indicator ~3 yrs ago.
But good idea in any case.

Thanks for the video pip. Makes good sense to be aware of the position on the 15 or even hourly and then drill down to the 5 waiting on a retrace to complete before entering with the higher TF trend. In regards to the forks on spaghetti, I will need more time to evaluate if there is anything useful going on. I’m trying to look at it from an action/reaction viewpoint (example attached).
G, when you looked at ~3 years ago, did anything useful come from your studies?

October 1, 2015 at 6:09 pm #8140TL on the DIFF will almost always break at the beginning/start of convergence, a correct point of entry if confirmed by supporting volume.
Divergence on the DIFF will signal direction change, but many times a very small one. The reason for that is Price and DIFF measure different things.

October 1, 2015 at 8:41 pm #8146Remark on Video #22:
Spaghetti signalling something but price doesn’t move much – the reason is VOLUME is not in alignment (shown on Volume/Tick/OBV). Simply there is no volume to drive the price.
So you might ask how come the Spaghetti indie move?
It moves because other currency pairs causing it to show strength/weakness, there is volume there.
The Spaghetti DOES NOT relate to the specific current open chart – it’s general market view.
So use it ALWAYS with supporting VOLUME indicators !!

Your above post is interesting, would you be kind enough to speak over skype on the matter say over the weekend about it ?
I think that what you have said is why most people struggle with spagetti, I think that this ia a very important point.

October 2, 2015 at 8:09 pm #8174this is becoming a bit of a habit JH

I wonder if there is an alert indi that would find decent trends, that way have 10 charts up and wait for an alert (fractols, zigzags combined – just thinking aloud ??)
Anyone know of a program that will hide stops from brokers ??????
