      Hello Anti, first of all, a great thanks for sharing your zigzag indi !

      For the exit, i apply a fixed take profit, i mean something we could achieve everydays easily, something like 10 pips.

      For some traders, it’s really low low profit, but only the true knows that if you think about very long term, if you achieve 10 pips every day, then you have find your grail.

      For the stop losses, i’m also very classic, i like 40 pips.

      Then after, comes the recover, here considering the volatility i go one shot for 40 pips, or i divide by 2 and try to make 2 x 20 pips.

      You morning break idea is great, but i think i have already hear something like this, maybe the “london breakout”, ha i didn’t remember well.

      But it’s interesting.

Audrey. :heart:

              Off top. my version of the EA which is based only on the strength of the currencies and ClearMetod , the indicator currency power can really predict the future movement of currency exchange. :good:

              Really interesting results !

              Can you please post your ea ?

              Thanks a lot !

                  My simplified Clear Method Indicator, as requested. My clear method mqh lib is included in the mq4 file for convenience.

                  • Buffer 0: output = 1 for bullish, else 0
                  • Buffer 1: output = 1 for bearish, else 0

                  No input parameters, so iCustom() should be rather simple:

                  double  iCustom(
                     string       symbol,           // symbol
                     int          timeframe,        // timeframe
                     string name, // path/name of the custom indicator compiled program
                     int          { 0 | 1 },        // line index: 0 for bullish buffer, 1 for bearish buffer
                     int          shift             // shift
                     );

                  Any questions welcome! s.

                  Thanks a lot Simplex,

                  Your indicator is very good. Now we can all use the same indi  :good:

                    V.1.2 is WORSE than initial version, when compared to ALL 7 Majors with sames params. Since the initial version is our base-line, we need to check and modify the cause, before adding more features/filters. The importance of checking the EA on ALL 7 majors is in the fact that it reflects various market conditions, like different volatility, DD, Correlations, etc. G.

                    Maybe because the indicator used in v 1.2 isn’t the same as your original algo … The color candles are your original algo (you know the buggy indicator who doesn’t refresh correctly …). And the line is the clearmethod. First, we need a reliable indicator …. Edit : i add the indicator described up.

                    How does that indicator perform whithin the EA? G.

                    I don’t konw, the presented indi doesn’t work correctly, he doesn’t actualise itself in real time.

                    But visually your algo is better than clearmethod.

                    We really need only one official indicator “Peak and Trough” with your algo. So, we’ll all refer to the same indi and we could develop …

                    I don’t know if someone could correct the one i posted, but it could be great.

                          Hi G, The PEAK/TROUGH is NOT the END swing point, But some BARS near the swing point ? And the Oscillator defines the exact entry point based on the TREND and Peak/Trough. Do i understand it right ? Thanks Edit: sorry i could not active in these last 2 days .. my eyes were very pain. Doctor said that it is not because of improper of my eyeglass lenses, but some thing like inflammation of the optic nerve :wacko: So, i must take a rest 5 – 10 minutes, after every 1 hour in front of computer ….

                          Hello Smallcat,

                          Me too i have very sensible eyes, i will give you something which really works for me.

                          You apply compress of cornflower, i mean you lie on your back, and you put compress of cornflower on your eyes, but you keep your eyes closed, that’s important we just want to treat the external, but what it’s interesting, is after 5 minutes the cornflower penetrates deep and calm your eyes. Generally i keep it 10 minutes.

                          If you could find biological cornflower water, it’s very good.

                          I give you the product i use, but i live in France, don’t know if you can find the same.

                          You can also check the new samsung curved monitors, they have function to reduce the blue light, which is very bad for the eyes.

                          If you wear glasses, you can also ask when you’ll renew your glasses for a blue light filter directly in your glass. All the manufacturers of glasses have that in their arsenal now.

                          Take care of your eyes, they are very precious, imagine you can’t watch your screen ….

                              This indie is an ancient one… I’ll try to meet your request with a more current version. Sorry, it won’t be immediate and can take some time b4 delivery, since I’m quite busy this days. G.

                                Ok,

                                I have made some progress, here is my code again :

                                 if ((clnow > clpre) && (clpre > 0.01)) SendLong = true;

                                   if ((clnow < clpre) && (clpre < 0.01)) SendLong = true;

                                I filter my wrong entry (red vertical), but with the currently shaped indicator, it filters also the vertical blue line. And currently i don’t have any solutions to take the blue vertical without filters the red vertical.

                                Because when the indi is < 0, in the 2 cases (red and blue vertical) we have the sames rules that applied (clnow > clprev).

                                The only solution is to make Gadi Tick Volume with 1 buffer for each color.

                                Please GG53, can you make that for me ?

                                It’s really important !

                                Thank you  :good:

                                Edit : Oh, and also, can you remove the text that appears on the indicator ?

                                Thanks a lot !

                                  I will post my code and 1 screenshot to explain my problem.

                                  You see on the  backtest screenshot, at the red vertical : the short closed and immediately a buy open, BUT it shouldn’t open buy because the closenow>closebefore.

                                  Here is my code :

                                  //Trading decision.

                                     bool SendLong = false, SendShort = false;

                                      double clnow = iCustom(Symbol(),GadiTimeFrame,”Gadi_TickVolume_v2.2″,1,clbar); // actual close

                                      double clpre = iCustom(Symbol(),GadiTimeFrame,”Gadi_TickVolume_v2.2″,1,clbar+1); // prev close

                                     //Long trade

                                     //Specific system filters

                                     //if (some condition) SendLong = true;

                                     if (clnow > clpre) SendLong = true;

                                  I have tried other lots of things, but i can’t get this to work.

                                    Because i try lots of things and nothing works !

                                        Yes I know, but Saver0 seems to have mixed up the questions about arrow and dots.

                                        It could happen, sometimes when you answer too fast, or when english is not your native language. I’m not worry about that.

Smallcat asked you about the logic of the dots and then he asked you about the repainting of the arrows but you answered that the dots don’t repaint and we should wait for 3 or 4 to give a signal. For me the arrows look like Fractals based on close with mmmh 5 lower bars before and after.

                                          Don’t forget that indicator is in early stage of development.

                                          Personally i strongly believe that Saver0 have something strong, we all wait for an indi like that ! Brilliant work !

                                            Hello LittleCaro, At the moment I don’t have the time to dig in deeper. So just some remarks after a quick code review:

                                            • iVAR and iVAR_nmc are identical. One of them should be eliminated.
                                            • Those Goertzel algorithms seem to consume lots of CPU resources when the indicators are loaded. When tweaking the EA to optimize CPU usage, I would focus on those first of all.
                                            • Both Goertzel indicators are modified in a way that they always (!) use a Hodrick-Prescott Filter for smoothing. This will lead to heavy repainting. Hope you’re aware of that fact. Visual backtest is absolutely useless in this case. Historic signals may look wonderful, but in realtime causality will strike back.

                                            I would suggest to be careful with that construction. Did you forward test this EA on demo? If yes, what were your results? Best, simplex

                                            Hello,

                                            Thanks for this information, i know that some indicators repainting but this expert works. Test it and you’ll see.

                                            I have tested during a week,  and i have obtained + 25 % with very little drawdown.

                                            But i stopped the test because i have an old computer, and i fear this ea burn my processor, and i don’t have money to buy another …

                                            I think this ea consumes lots of cpu because it loads and unloads indicators all the time. Normally the indicators are only loaded one time at the start of the ea.

                                            Hey guys i really need help on this one, this ea is very good, the last time i tested, i remarked it really adapts itself to markets conditions, really fast it changed its TP and SL, and it changed from buy to sell and vice versa.

                                            Well it really fits very well the markets.

                                              Hello all, Here is a brilliant EA coded by a friend, but he’s unable to fix it. It consumes high cpu usage and memory, because on the expert tab we see it loads and unloads all the indicators every seconds. Please guys, if someone could have a look ! It worth it, Eurusd on 15 minutes OOTB. I join the expert and the indicators needed. Thanks a lot !

                                              It says “Cannot open file SSA end-pointed.ex4″

                                              Ah sorry, here is the file missing.

                                              You need a library to work the indicator, all is included in the package.
