This is great system and EA, have been testing it for some time and really love it.
Since I am a counter trend trader, was wondering if it is possible to insert an option “reverse” or something. The idea is to Sell instead of Buying at the top of the CZ.
As I said I love it, anyway
August 8, 2015 at 6:43 pm #7614I have updated Rossbot and added a ReverseSignals option.

You are the greatest, thank you !!!
August 31, 2015 at 9:55 am #7766Hi xux99,
I’ve been playing with the expert and indicator is it possible to make it work on renko charts, got some nice results but not sure if I can trust them ?
August 31, 2015 at 7:37 pm #7767I have not tested it on renko charts but it probably works.
September 2, 2015 at 3:22 am #7769how would i go about using renkos for my EA? would i have to code it in with the EA or just drag the EA onto a renko chart?
September 2, 2015 at 4:30 pm #7773also, i need help coding 2 things in my EA,
i want it to be able to have a risk management setting (example risk 1% of account balance)
also i only want it to take trades when the spread is less than 5
thanks in advance
September 4, 2015 at 6:30 am #7776Hi xux99,
1) I have an issue, using the EA with renkolivecharts_pimped_v4.13 (not sure if i post it will I violate some rules), the EA does not want to “cooperate” with it :) , is there anything that can be done about it?
2) Is there a way to export data from the indicator to excel for example or some kind of data file? What I want to do is to determine the maximum DrawDown, the maximum consecutive loss is a extremely helpful but does differ from MAX DD.
Kind regards !

I am afraid I can’t help you as I don’t have experience with renko charts.

I shall add the ability to record virtual trades history to a csv file and a maximum drawdown calculation.
September 7, 2015 at 5:35 am #7796Hi xux99,
having the history of the trades in csv will be amazing.
Thanks a lot for the effort.
September 7, 2015 at 2:17 pm #7806I have updated the first post with a new version for the indicator. FileName option defines the name of the csv file that records the trades; spread is not taken into account. Spread adjusted drawdown is now displayed in the statistics panel.
October 2, 2015 at 8:08 am #8157Hello xux99,
I have been playing with the indi, some very good results are coming up. But after a while I noticed that there is an issue.
My set up when using the Indi is to set MA to true, but I set it to _1_ (close/exponential), which basically means that every bar close outside the box is a signal, today the buy signal was shown (circled) but after a refresh it disappeared and showed a Sell signal. Looking back there are some cases where we have a bar closed outside but no signal, can this be fixed.
I know that the MA is not accurate because can not take the real value but MA close _1_ should not make a difference, am I wrong?

October 16, 2015 at 5:56 am #8462Hi xux99,
I understand that the indicator calculation is based solely on the Bid and takes the MA close (last value).
But still please see screenshot, the price is way far above the Box and spread is insignificant case in this example, also the MA is set to Close; Value 1; which supposedly should not make much of a difference.

I think that in this example it’s pre/post some Announcement/News (judging by the looong bar)- where spread got much wider. But didn’t check the calendar.

October 16, 2015 at 2:54 pm #8494For an entry signal the MA should exceed the close of the breakout candle. In your two encircled examples this did not occur and therefore no trade was opened.
October 18, 2015 at 4:36 pm #8522Hello everyone! This is a great strategy breakdown. I saw this on FF and for the past 6 months I have traded the robot, the results are excellent, with an average of 30% return in a month, the most important thing to find the correct settings. I‘ve been at it for about 2 months!

May I ask, which settings you are using?
October 27, 2015 at 6:56 am #8630Hi xux99,
That explains a lot, it is a great inside as have not doubted the code but was difficult to find the reason for the case.
As if not asking too much, is it possible to add a future in the indicator like the EA. TO have the option to choose the trading session.

Could you add a anchor candle direction filter?
above or below anchor candle’s open determines if breakout is triggered on first trade in the set
so if daily candle is the anchor and price is above open first trade can only breakout long…ETC
Anchor candle can be 5 minutes – monthly
I like weekly myself.
Stair Stepping in the direction of the weekly candle
November 2, 2015 at 5:48 pm #8672I have updated the indicator in first post and added an AnchorCandle option.

November 16, 2015 at 1:27 pm #9167Hi xux99,
Is it possible add the AutoOptimize feature from the indicator in to the EA ?
November 16, 2015 at 7:36 pm #9185The trade management of the indicator is moderately accurate as it does not use M1 data. Additionaly the AutoOptimize feature uses an approximate method and does not test all possible combinations of settings. Incorporating them into the EA has no real advantage. The best solution is to optimize the expert advisor frequently using the backtester.
