All the bars gg53 marked were bullish reversal bars in a downtrend….
January 5, 2015 at 6:49 am #3118Dear gg53!
Great consideration and new conception to price candle !but i havenot got you yet how you are using it for predict or correction time or correction target of market?!you mean the sense of market is hidden in a super candle in some while in chart?January 5, 2015 at 7:45 am #3120Close is only illusion, it’s only relative point in time that record price.
In time base chart, when there is no movement at all for let say 1 minute, your 1 minute candle will visually see as flat line, where Open = High = Low = Close.. lol.
At Weekend if there is no what we commonly called Gap, then weekend candles is a chain of flat lines depend on your TF (the way you slashing the time)..
This is the biggest trick from banker, we always miss that data chain when market closed (lol.. this also illusion), while in reality money never sleep..

http://www.binaryoptionsedge.com/January 5, 2015 at 1:09 pm #3129why do the lines span across several bars, when in fact the very next bar after the signal hits the projected price level?

January 5, 2015 at 2:54 pm #3131drloyd, The “Close” of a bar is an artificial stop-watch or snap-shot of the current timeframe.
I am working on that….
@drloyd, just imagine I had the idea to create a chart with an M57 timeframe. It wouldn’t be very handy to work with, but basically it would work, and CLOSE levels obviously were at different prices compared to H1. The timeframes we’re used to work with are the result of arbitrary conventions.
Or an H1 chart with the end time shifted….
Right !!

I marked several, not all, and didn’t look at the overall trend at all.

I didn’t mention “time” – only direction and price.
It’s almost always only one or few bars away.

You are right !
I’m used to work with LINE Chart and posting “normal” charts. Sorry about that.
But you can see that the “Target” is hit even sooner.

Market sentiment or “True” value is embedded within each bar.
When the sentiment or value contradict the “Close” price – the sentiment will “Win” and the price will correct itself, almost immediatly.

January 5, 2015 at 3:17 pm #3138What do you think to create a private group to discuss this?

Any special reason for that?
G.
January 5, 2015 at 3:47 pm #3139We all automatically consider that price is on the CLOSE of the bar. That the way we “learned” and that’s the way most indicator calculate their input/output. Is that really the right way of looking at price/chart? What if there is another way? A way, that if done correctly, and compared to the CLOSE price – will tell you almost exactly where price direction “should” be. …and on top of it – it’s not just the direction – the price will soon enough go to that exact price… All of this without any indicator. Just a simple different view. Example chart will soon follow. G.
G,
is it (this bold sentense) a reason why you use LINE chart?

Usually it allows to be… less shy
January 5, 2015 at 7:23 pm #3146I’m not quite a fan of making too many private groups. Open discussion of methods is what (i believe) all of us here. If it weren’t for all the people who shared what they did in various other blogs and in the thread on FF, most of us wouldn’t be here. The people who have begun to “see” something for the first time due to that thread also probably got a lot of their inspiration from it. I understand the purpose for private threads is to elevate discussion to levels that may be “unsafe” for public domain due to their potency and I believe that true edges should not be revealed, but for where we are in this thread I don’t think this is quite necessary.
I can’t speak much about the current private TZ group (since I was not invited, which is fair I suppose..) but it seems to have a lot more action than the public threads. If the purpose was to cultivate and form specialist threads to crack the market, what’s the point of this forum or any other forum if it’s all exclusive?

It really true. If you have time to look at tick chart for some time, you will see what gg53 mean.

I think that too.
But less is more. The less member but have same mind discuss, the better discussion.
When have more people, we tend to go into another direction. Like this one.
BTW, I have my private group

AnonymousMh but I still don’t have a clue how to get the market sentiment :(
Any tips? Using High, Low, Open or one of the Tick indicators that were posted on Penguin Traders?

more Users active in the discussion = more interesting and unexpected ideas to improve the initial thread, so it is really helpfull and usefull, but when it is necessary to pick some point to investigate deeper it should be better to split in one or more private groups… this is my opinion. I feel that big-brother of the Brokers is watching us
I am paranoic, you have probably noticed that, and my contribution is not so relevant. So don’t mind about me

January 6, 2015 at 4:09 am #3183It seems that I should “Close” the “bar”, according to some distinguished members “sentiment”, and go somewhwere private… ;-}

Mrs SI only use candles in cases of electric power failure, and to reduce babies fever. That’s where they belong.

January 6, 2015 at 9:12 am #3194Happy New Year. Many green pips to everyone this year.

Hi gg53, i am curious about your concept. Please can you throw more light.
If you feel my questions will reveal too much of your findings you can ignore the particular question.
1. how do you determine the candle you find signal on? Is it every current candle close that has signal?
2. When do you place your trade? Is it imediately you find the signal on the close price?
3. How long can a trade hit target? And if it doesn’t, how do you cut your loss?
4. Can we categorise this as similarity/Disimilarity Level?
5. Is this related to the concept Diceman555 was talking about in http://www.ff.com/showthread.php?t=478671&page=38
thank you. I will post more question with the chat you posted later?

I consider a candle that the sentiment (or “true” value) is in opposite direction to the Close.
2. Trade should be placed immediately on bars close that confirm #1.
3. Depends on TF, but almost always within just 1 or few bars.
4. No connection to the similarity/Disimilarity (which is just another fancy name for waves, in my opinion).
5. I’ll have to get bach with an answer on that. Haven’t read it yet.

AnonymousOk I’m asking again GG. The sentiment in opposite direction to the Close.
Example:
Close is lower than Open, so this Candle is Down.
And the sentiment is…………Tick Average in the other direction, so UP?Any hints for getting the sentiment?
January 6, 2015 at 10:58 am #3197Hi gg53,
Correct me if I am wrong.
If we switch to bar chart, it will be easier to compare between close price of previous candle and open price of current candle. If there is a mis-price, we would need to see whether the current open price is higher or lower than the previous close price.
If it is higher it will be downtrend, if it is lower then it will be uptrend. As the previous close price will act as a magnet to suck back the price to match the mis-price.
This is what I learn from Delicate Secret thread, may not be correct as I am still learning.

AnonymousRead the answers GG gave you. The answers don’t give us the information how he is doing it, but it gives us the information how he isn’t doing it
It has nothing to do with similarity or delicate secret.
And it has nothing to do with the trend.
It has something to do with the current price. I would say that all the information we need is in the one current open candle.
So no looking at other previous candles -
