I have the data, results from the EA straight no MM….
Sounds like you have it all worked out already. Good luck my friend, you obviously don’t need our help…
May 7, 2016 at 2:15 pm #12539Hi Zvezdolet , forexhard, xux, :)
in relation to MM and the suggestion of Zvezdolet a few posts above I think there is an excellent example of MM explained in this video. I tried it out long time ago and surely it is working. What about implementing this in rossbot? mql 4 files to download :)
@ Zvezdolet Did you mean something like this ….reduzing the lotsize after a series of loosers and increasing it after a series of winners in a certain manner? This is the idea of MM explained in the video quite impressively. Have a look at the pic … the (fantasy)pips are only an example to show how it works

I do not know what I have done for this message. I apologize for this incident.
I find this post as an outstanding example of a successful strategy implementation.

July 6, 2016 at 1:03 pm #12754July 10, 2016 at 1:08 pm #12800Hi Guys-
I am now using another trade platform on my phone and when i add on the EMA it shows it on the chart but how do we determine which breakout to take because with the SSBO file it automatically configures the EMA depending on which value we put in for the period. But with the current platform im using the EMA is shown on the chart but how does this determine which breakout to take? with the SSBO on the chart i had enabled it automatically detected and cherry picked.
How does the EMA reflect which brreakout to take on other platforms that we cannot download the SSBO tool to, because I use a phone app. Can anyone explain this?

July 25, 2016 at 7:42 pm #12860Hi Roni,
can you explain more precisely what you mean…the ema in ssbo works on Mt4 platform only and is repainting anyway…. you don`t need it actually…try a setup without ema…
July 29, 2016 at 6:30 pm #12861Hi guys i have managed to take a screenshot of something I am stuck with on the indicator.
This example is of the AUDUSD trade, the blue line is the 1 day EMA ive added in manually to show you where the candlesticks break out.
You can see the first break happens including the EMA but the ssbo indicator does not enter- why?
it then breaks out for the second time and the entry is gained- this has happened on a few pairs and I am wondering why.
Someone care to explain?
ROni

If MinBarsClosedOutside is set to zero then this level is the breakout level of the consolidation zone. If MinBarsClosedOutside is greater than zero then this level is the close of the candle that closed beyond the breakout level of the consolidation zone. You can check the validity of EMA entries only in real time, past entries are an approximate calculation as real time EMA data are not available. This is also the reason of the repainting EMA entries.

hi Xux99,
Thankyou for your prompt response.
My filters are set to ‘min close 1’ so soon as the first close outside the box is identified my trade enters.
In regards to the EMA- I have put the ema period to 1- I have felt this has the best results. But some trades lag, like the picture attached on my previous post I found that there are trades where a bar closes outside the box but the ema does not enter until the second trade set.
Any light on this would be great :)
July 31, 2016 at 8:12 pm #12869The biggest issue I’m having is understanding the EMA period. I have selected this to 1 in the ssbo how come some trades are not being entered even when they break out of the consolidation box at the first time?
secondly I am using IG markets who are based in the UK I have the app on my phone and I am not able to download the indicator ssbo on it- any ideas if I can on? Or how I can manually put these parameters on my charts?

August 1, 2016 at 7:19 pm #12876What are your exact settings?
August 2, 2016 at 7:13 am #12877Hi Xux,
My exact settings vary for boxes, for example for eurusd the box range is 18 and the length is 20bars- but I trade the 1hour charts so this equates to 5 bars on a trade and a height of 18 or below as per settings.
My ema filter is set to TRUE and the MA period is always set to 1 for all pairs as I feel I the win ratio when back testing is high this way.
Does that help?
Roni

7 monthsBillyon, do these results refer to the same settings as described in post #12870?
Thanks,
