Xux99,
I dont understand, does the rossbot run in the background? because it does not show up on my charts at all.
March 3, 2016 at 11:29 pm #11871Rossbot is not an indicator and does not show past zones. If the most recent zone is valid it will show it.
March 4, 2016 at 8:20 am #11874Hi Xux99,
Sorry but But I am slightly unaware of how it works,
Do you use it alongside the normal SSBO dynamic indicator or use it solely alone?
Because it has the pips and box range parameters too but when you punch these in nothing shows on the charts. No boxes or anything.
All i want is to verify the boxes so that I use a 1:1 risk reward ratio.
Kindest regards,
Roni
March 4, 2016 at 5:04 pm #11878Use rossbot alone! The indicator is just for exploring settings and getting a visual understanding of the consolidation zones.
Rossbot does not start drawing zones until one develops.
March 4, 2016 at 5:08 pm #11879Run rossbot in the MT4 strategy tester. Input your setting and watch the test visually to gain understanding.
If you have a smiley face in the upper right corner the rossbot is on/ Just give it time to find a zone within your perimeters.
March 6, 2016 at 10:55 pm #11899Hi Billyon,
In all honesty I have no clue how rossbot works, I have tried several times to input different settings but nothing develops on the charts.
All I want is for every trade to be 1:1 in terms of RR so that whether a bar closing outside the buffer line is 5-10pips outside the box the close at TP level wil still be 1:1.
Is there not a instruction manual for the rossbot for dummies like me?

Dear Roni26,
In post number 1 of this thread you have links to pages which have the answers you need:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=302007
I recommend you that you take a deep breath and read the above thread. You must have a good understand of this strategy to start using this EA in the right way.
Don’t go straight to the end without doing your home work before…
March 8, 2016 at 9:32 am #11931Hi guys,
I have read the thread three times over but still did not find anything about how to trade with a 1:1 risk reward.
Given that we go in from the 1st or 2nd candle close outside the box plus the box buffer this would mean that our stop loss is way larger than the TP.
Roni
March 8, 2016 at 10:12 am #11932I think I will just stick to using the Dynamic SSBO indicator by xux99- I cannot seem to get the hang of Rossbot- ?
March 8, 2016 at 11:14 am #11933Hi guys, I have read the thread three times over but still did not find anything about how to trade with a 1:1 risk reward. To have a 1:1 risk reward in the last version of Rossbot (please download it at the link above), you should modify the QuickTakeProfitType to “SLMultiplier” and QuickTakeProfit to 1.
March 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm #11934Is that true? Did you really read my teaching thread 3 times? If yes, did you also carry out the instructions from the very first post? For example, did you teach yourself to trade naked and with only hand-drawn boxes? After that exercise, did you then make a 100-day live forward test with small lot sizes, and for which you kept a trading diary as well? If you didn’t finish these exercises, then please stop wasting Xux’s time and energy having to answer your ignorant posts because you were too lazy to take my advice. Jumping past everything else and going straight for the indicator is a sure way to lose your shirt. It pisses me off to no end when I see guys like you. There are no short cuts in Forex. You’re the guy who thinks he can teach himself karate by watching Bruce Lee movies. Real. Life. Doesn’t. Work. Like. That.
March 8, 2016 at 1:25 pm #11935Quite pathetic mannerism from a guy who claimed his system to be ‘perfect’ from the get go then used several coders to his perusal.
If someone has claimed to have read the thread several times over and has not found what he/she is looking for this should not open the door to criticism, especially from the guy who claims the prize for such a ‘flawless’ system.
Props on the system Forexhard but you really are a cowboy who ought to grasp proper communication.
Many thanks :)
March 8, 2016 at 11:44 pm #11944My pathetic mannerism was to donate almost 3 full years to mentoring for free in a public forum. In that time, I met many people in person who took the time to find me here in Las Vegas to thank me for changing their lives for the better. The reason their lives were changed, was because, unlike yourself, they actually took the time to read AND follow my advice, and to accept the blame for their success and their failures equally. Speaking of coders, three eventually stepped in to help, and Xux was one of them. What you fail to understand, is that in building up the indicator Xux and I shared more than 100 emails behind the scenes. Xux knows EXACTLY how I think and trade, and Xux is no dummy. As a professional coder, he has seen thousands of ideas come over his desk. And yet, SSBO is one of just 4 that he has kept with since his time at the FF, and had kept coding for, and posts the EAs of which at his personal web site.
I’ve seen the photos of the homes and cars people have bought with their SSBO proceeds. And then we have you Roni. Tell us, what are YOU known for? What lives have YOU changed? Ten years from now, what is YOUR legacy going to be?
March 9, 2016 at 8:02 pm #11956I do not like getting into ‘slanging’ matches so I apologize for the upset above.
I just know how frustrating it can be to read through something over and over again and not find the answer. All I want to know is how we could risk 1:1 on a trade regardless of if the box buffer is 5 or if we wait till a bar to close outside the box. I could not seem to find this answer in the thread. The only answer that would be similar to this was ‘martingaling’ which means you would have to have a significant bankroll to do this.
I have implemented XUX99’s SBBO dynamic indicator and have found some good settings narrowing down to only 2 break out trades from the inital breakout taking the total trades per trade set to 3.
I am not sure if there are better settings out there or if i should implement the Rossbot for this..

The whole concept of “1:1 Ratio” is very misleading. It means the following:
1. You know where to put your StopLoss. That one is easy, because it’s based on already known history (never mind what method you use: S/R, ATR, last Swing, etc…).
2. You KNOW where the market WILL go… utter B.S. … or you are a Voodoo man, magician, Prophet, or Clairvoyant…even if you are one of those, the market will go wherever it want.
So, 1:1 Money Management method relies on one “solid” leg and one Cruch…

The answer is in front of you, but by taking your shortcuts you have failed to recognize it for what it is. Once more: Go back to the SSBO thread and read the FIRST POST as many times as it takes. 10 times… 20 times… 100 times… what ever it takes until you finally see where you have gone off the track. I can spoon feed you and just say, but you won’t learn anything if I do.

Forexhard advocates a minimum of 1:1 risk to reward ratio. It makes sense.
What i am trying to find how to risk 1:1 on a trade when trades second bar closes 5-10pips outside the buffer area, thus putting the trader at risk of losing less than he is to gain.
Also i am still working on getting the right settings for the indicator.

March 10, 2016 at 10:27 am #11991Dear forexhard,
Thank you for your immense efforts explaining your trading method via FF and now here :)
Thank you for opening your original thread and participating in this one. I like your system and I absolutely adore xux’s coding …
However, if your system, SSOB and Rossbot were foolproof, guaranteed winners, ‘you only have to read one article properly’ – well, then this thread would not exist and you wouldn’t have spent three years on FF trying to teach it to us. There’d be one article and then a thread full of ‘thank you’s’ and a lot of brokers would have closed their businesses.
You are here voluntarily, no one here wants to ‘piss you off’ or prove that you’re wrong. You may consider us fools for asking questions, but that is why we’re here. If we don’t all understand your written instructions or get varying results trying to follow them, then that may also be a reflection on how these instructions are given or that the method does not always work.
If you want to describe your legacy by concentrating on 100s of people who sent you pictures of their possessions gained by following your methods, then fine, but bear in mind that there will be many ‘fools’ who will have lost tremendous amounts of money believing that they followed your instructions to the letter. And before you have a go at me, I’m not one of them – I’ve been quite successful with Rossbot :)
There are shortcuts in Forex – the most important lesson is learned faster than it takes to transfer money to your broker – it is much easier to lose all your money than it is to make some or, more importantly, make back your losses.
The second lesson is also learned very quickly – if you’re not a complete fool – do not believe in ‘foolproof’ systems, be they based on technical analysis or purely money management or whatever else. The only consistent method to earn money with Forex is this – become a broker or work for one, limit the leverage for successful traders and raise it super high for idiots, you’ll have the spread, the money and the market makers behind you will even change laws to make sure that they get every last penny from retail traders.
Of course you can participate in the market and even make a fortune, but not without taking risks, most of which are likely to backfire on you. Following a system to the letter, even SSOB, is not going to make you rich if you keep your money in your trading account and try to martingale your way into the record books.
forexhard, if you post in forums with a method you believe in, the most likely outcome is that you will be more often contacted by people who do not understand or are not successful with your strategy than by the ones who make money. So, whilst angrily telling the less fortunate ones to re-read your instructions 10 times … 20 times … 100 times, please count to just 10 and then don’t assume us liars – it’s never a good idea to insult the poor sods who respect you so much that they are asking you for help you offered in the first place. Isn’t that why we’re all here – to help each other?
None of this is meant to offend you, I sincerely hope this comes across properly :)
Kind regards,
Danny
PS: My only claim to a legacy is that I have prevented masses of friends from ruining themselves by trading – I’ve shown them honestly how the market works (or doesn’t work for them), have tried not to make unrealistic claims and have never been arrogant enough to believe that I have a 100% amazing system that I have to tell everyone about (I don’t have such a system …) – and all of that despite the fact that I’m actually quite (and quietly) successful for 3 years now :) … hope this counts

Finally someone who understands the plights of probably 80% of the readers of this system.
I havent come across one reader of the thread who hasn’t consciously asked or subconsciously questioned some variables of the system. Forexhard claimed his system to be ‘perfect’ and flawless before the introduction of coders like XUX99 and Squalou. I have been following the thread since it was first created and have still not been able to find the exact part where it highlights if you should martingale or trade a risk reward of 1:1 regardless of whether or not a candle closes 10pips outside the box keeping a strict tp of 20 or 30 or 40pips.
This is a system that looks like it could have the longevity of being extremely successful but if you are going to throw claims of how people have bought houses and cars with the system and thanked you personally then im sure helping someone out who has been following the system for two years, busting his balls to find that chink in the armour, should not be too much of a big deal.

….Forexhard claimed his system to be ‘perfect’ and flawless….
Completely and utterly false. I have never said any such thing. How can I be expected to have an honest and helpful conversation with someone that says this crap? And you said thee same shit above, I just decided to overlook it and try to steer you in the right direction to get you back on track. You keep repeating the lie, so now I have to answer before someone else reads it and gets the wrong impression.
If you choose to answer, then I expect to see links to where I have said that SSBO was “perfect” and “flawless”. Hint: You can’t. I never said it. But yeah, go ahead and try, I can’t wait to see what you come up with…

Moral of the story is you are an arrogant person.
I couldnt agree with Danny any more than I already do. When you develop a system it has to be open to scrutiny, people will pick it apart and have questions which you should be happy to answer. Instead we all have to put up with an asshole knee jerk reaction from you deeming us stupid for not reading the thread- regardless of whether we have or not. I speak for alot of readers of your thread when I say we are quite appalled and let down by your arrogance, I am sure most of the people I have spoken to about the tread share the same sentiments.
I have nothing more to say.
If anyone else wants to come forward and shed some light onto my question about the 1:1 risk reward ratio or entry signals please do come forward as FH isnt capable of backing his own system :)
Kind regards,
Roni
March 11, 2016 at 6:15 am #12009Oh guys – honestly – in hindsight I realise that my comment has fuelled the argument, rather than stop it. I apologise to forexhard, roni and xux (as our thread host) – that was not my intention.
Roni – forexhard may seem arrogant to you in his replies, but he’s the guy who willingly shared a strategy that worked for him for a flipping long time. He didn’t have to, he could’ve saved himself all that trouble and I wonder if he sometimes wishes he had. An arrogant man does not admit after three(!!!) years that he can’t keep on trying to run a thread that’s so long (due to its success) that no one there bothers to read all of it any more. forexhard trained countless people and he deserves kudos for that, not a generalisation of his personality purely based on a few frustrated comments on a forum.
Forexhard – personally I found Roni’s question valid and I believe that he has read (attentively) the FF thread and this one here. Lately he’s as frustrated as you, which causes both of you to take things personally and turn this thread into an argument neither of you actually wants. And then I came along and made it worse …
Imagine we somehow met each other in a bar. Once we realised that we share a common, albeit completely nuts, interest (trading!!!) – we’d instantly be best mates, have the most brilliant conversations and the night would be fun after all. Neither one of you would perceive the other one as arrogant or ignorant – you’d be happy for the company …
I say we stop the silly stuff, clap each other on the shoulders like men, apologise once more to XUX and get on with the actual topic of the forum.
Have a beer on me, guys – I’d love to take you fishing, calms the soul :)
Kind regards,
Danny
March 11, 2016 at 8:15 am #12010Danny- Agreed. Apologies to you also who got dragged into this.
Now back to my original question- I have spent 2 years studying this system and all I want to know is how to actually implement the 1:1 risk reward ratio given that we wait for the one bar close outside the CZ zone as some of the closes can 5-10pips outside the box do we still set stop loss on the opposite side of the box regardless?
Still need to implement the rossbot- I have fiddled with it but does not seem to pick up any zones..
March 11, 2016 at 10:37 am #12011Remember you are speculating on the reward. The only thing you can control almost surely is your risk.
With that in mind you have some options.
Do the last 100 day study to get you average breakout ranges (initial break and 2nd al least) and let your results act as a TP filter tool. EX. if your average breakout from CZ is 30 pip you operate within that range. If your trigger sucks 10 pips away from that range you may want to skip that trade or adjust TP and trade management plan accordingly. Think on it!
Follow currency strength – maybe you see strength in you trade direction that will give a higher probability that your target will be met 1:1 regardless of filter mentioned above. Once trade is triggered in direction of strength you adjust your target to match your risk. Stop 25 target 25 and such
Stop loss is always the other side of the CZ it’s the target that get’s adjusted or not. Trade management is triggered based on your plan
Stairstep=trend trend =Stairstep. No trend= No stairs Martingaling or not.
