Highly recommended for anybody who isn’t scared of some math on a higher level.

I can only be scared of things I know  ;-)  I was intrigued by the title, so I hunted it down, received the book today. Thanks for the tip!

90 groups and counting today… Yesterday was 270 something.

One of my most drastic methods was to ban IP ranges, only thing that worked. Do we have users from the same region as the spammer? If not, I advise you to think about it, bans can always be lifted later.

I second to Smallcat, when I don’t know how’s the calculation done, I’m in trouble  ;-)  I understand no source will be given, but maybe enough hints to replicate the calculation part on other platforms?  :bye:

What’s the “delay” between fractals? I don’t remember seeing it anywhere except for the last couple of posts here.

Guys, if you want i can post the little bit of skype chat I had with GG. In fact I’m running out of options and maybe someone else can use the hard to understand information GG gave. Sadly it is nearly impossibly to get GG to answer the few questions I still have.

I think it doesn’t hurt if you do so, it will be more than welcome! What I’m particularly interested in are the questions you can’t get an answer to, sometimes these spark great ideas. Thank you for your efforts!  :bye:

Hi Kiads, you’re hard to get in touch  ;-)

I want to harass you with some details if you don’t mind. The second video is the source!

                  1. Is first TL drawn from top to top or bottom to top?
                  2. Are the horizontal lines the price projections?

If I can these 2 sorted at first, then I get a clearer understanding to build on, thank you!

Saver, what’s your take on sense of direction? My experience to date tells me that if I know the direction with high probability I could play it without anything else, you get what I’m saying?  ;-)

                        What a video

Chart setup is a mystery. where do you get or should there be 13.5p and 24 boxes?

Third trendline, where do you get 315?

                        From what comes 4th trendline?

Can first + second TL equal to more than 360 degrees?

Hope you don’t mind my questions  :bye:

Now this is really interesting. before the move happened on CHFJPY we see the orange M15 (fastest) line making a huge spike to the upside. Right before also the green fastest line made a spike to the upside. On USDCHF we see a spike of the green M15 (fastest) line to the downside exactly one hour before the move happened.

Could we use your indicator for news trading?

Hmmm – did you never observe similar spikes of this indicator when no relevant news are about to happen?

                          My guess is: sheer coincidence.

It might not be a coincidence or luck, letme quote you this:

However Adam Myers, European head of FX research at Credit Agricole, said that some market participants appeared to have been aware that the SNB’s decision was coming before the official announcement.

“It definitely looks like to us,” he said on Friday. “There was a movement in the market well ahead of the headlines (from the SNB).”

Just follow the money and the footprints of the big boys?

Hi Scissors, I plan to open account at FXCM, LOL I think you should consider Oanda or any ECN broker survive from this tsunami like IC Markets, Peperstone, …

The picture I’m getting is that MM’s survived it much better than ECNs, the former ones didn’t have much orders out on interbank level and as long as there aren’t too many winners it’s all fine for them. For ECN’s lack of liquidity or the absence of quotes (Deutsche Bank’s Autobahn stopped quoting after the announcement, they say  ) means you know what…

Just pulled everything together for the final push for GEN1 indicator(s). 1 down 7 to go. Stubborn as I am, I’m still going the accumulation route, combined up, down, middle readings are nothing fancy, useless actually.

No problems, Vlan! Thanks for getting back on the arrow thing.

I’m not sure about the horizontal thing, truth is G hasn’t put forward the whole thing and maybe he left those out, he did say not every case is marked.

As of now the second line from below has been hit, and the way chart looks the lowest should be taken out as well. I hope G sees this and either draws a big red “X” on it or whispers it might be something in the right direction. Marking those lines I remembered Delicate Secret by Eurusdd, maybe I’ll cook up the indi for statistics to see if it has something in it, DD as alwyas a problem, like Patrick mentioned.

                                            Hi Emonts

The rule is simple: the fractal bar must have it’s close higher/lower than the rest of bars that make up the pattern. Bars with red crosses don’t meet this condition.

Make a helluva campaign for our forum here, and you’ll be revoked very quickly! It would be actually great I think to popularize this place a bit more. Few weeks back I saw 2 posts about some indicator over at SHF, that dude got suspended in less than 24h I believe, followed by a ban.

Does anyone know who the mods are at ff? I know one bloke, he literally works for a broker (a criminal would be more appropriate wording) and I know his professional reputation before he turned into trading, very interesting biography

                                              @steve
: nice try in damage-limitation, NOT! :rose:

I don’t think any Brokers would start to have anyone barred from FF, even if they had the power to do that, because no system or method being traded within FF forums would be any threat to them. The reason I think this is because when someone opens a thread within the Trading System Forum he does it, usually, because he believes he has a successful system/method to disclose. The more popular and widely read a system/method becomes the more the Brokers like it because, like Trading itself, only 1% to 5% of all the people using any system/method will be successful Trading it and that depends on it being successful in the first place. So I think you are all under an misapprehension if you think FF was forced into barring you, by the Brokers, because the system/method you where Trading was a threat to them. I have no idea why FF blocked so many accounts but I’m sure it had nothing to do with the Brokers advertising on FF. I’m sorry but any system/method you or I happen to be trading will make no difference to them, the Brokers, unless we can all come together at exactly the same time and start pushing enough money into the Market to make it move which will never happen, B-)

hm, everybody is free to think what they want.

But your argumentation is not that valid in my opinion. Do you really think that Brokers are sportsmen? “Oh hell, those people are good. Let them take a good amount of our profit, because they deserve it.” ?

human greed is endless, sadly. 1% or 5 % only successful… This is a common knowledge , but is this really true? I remember a thread in ff.com where this was discussed and the statistics from Brokers were quite different.

But lets assume that is correct. I remember sawing one of Jay´s last account screenshots it was around 500k. Do you remember in what timeframe he made that? Leverage is a 2 edged sword for the brokers too. They make trading Forex cheap, but if successful people use that leverage to exponentially increase their winnings. Could you believe that an open discussion which could leads to such a system (everything was fine as long as it stayed the cryptic way) that can be openly viewed by thousands of forum members could potentially ring the alarm bells of the brokers?

You can even go and do some research on your own. That is not the first time ff.com gets the accusation to delete successful systems.

Are those people just dumb conspiracy theorists? Is it really the interest of ff.com that they get a mass of successful traders? Why on earth should they bother any longer to participate in their forums? There would be no more need for forums where you find an endless amount of systems… (100s of pages long)

And in the end it doesn´t even matter now. Because i don´t want to participate there any longer.. wrote Twee 2 messages telling him i want my account deleted..i´m still there, sadly. I don´t like the way ff.com operates. Point

                                                Thank you for your answer!

I looked into it before too, then other stuff took over, anxiously waiting to return to it.

You’re correctly understanding the probabilities. As far as my research went (I have some things to go through still), bar probabilities can be viewed both ways – as independent and dependent. In some cases there is clear overlap – dependent – and in other cases there’s like a “semi-overlap” at most, which I would define as an independent event.

For independent cases I should multiply the probabilities, correct?
                                                0.35*0.05*0.8=0.014

Going Saver’s way (1-0.014=0.986) would then produce one helluva probability stat ;-)

What are the options for dependent probability accumulation?

Firstly, I’m not at home with English statistical terms, so pardon my loose use of those

The same is true for me.

Best if I give one example: I have a bar holding multiple probability values, something like the following:

                                                Bar[0,0]=35
                                                Bar[0,1]=5
                                                Bar[0,2]=80

What I want is to have a combined/accumulated/compounded reading for Bar[0]. The answer being 40 – I’m not so sure. Suggestions very much appreciated!

My interpretation of those lines: At bar zero you’re observing three events with probabilities p0 = 0.35, p1 = 0.05, and p2 = 0.8. Correct so far?

Key questions now: What kind of events are the basis for those probabilities? Are those 3 events statistically independent of each other (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_%28probability_theory%29) ?

Firstly, I’m not at home with English statistical terms, so pardon my loose use of those and me sounding a bit daft.

                                                  … accumulate the probabilities …

Hmmm – maybe I can contribute. Which probabilities (precisely) do you plan to accumulate?

Saver, when I attach pics (“Insert image”), they won’t show up, broken image symbol is all there is. If opened separately, right click, open in new tab/window, everything works. I upload them in postimage.org .  If you find time, maybe you can take a look.  :bye:
